Council, Idaho

Hellooooo! Really no time to write (This is Liz writing). Library's closing in 6 minutes. Today we biked from the Hell's Canyon area up a fittingly hellacious hill, then had a nice, flowing downhill into Cambridge, Idaho. From Cambridge we attempted to take a bicycle path made from an old railroad bed, but quickly realized that the trail was not designed for fully-loaded touring bicycles. So we ended up taking the regular ol' car-roads to Council, Idaho. We're camping up by the old courthouse, which is very conveniently located right by the post office, public library, and grocery store (as well as an ice-cream place). This is incredibly handy for the touring cyclist.

Idaho is quite hilly, rocky, and sunny. Today was hot--kind of like Kansas, but less humid. We're happy to be into our second state! We both hit 800 miles today...It's hard to believe.

More soon, we hope!

Note to Jesse Overright, our Techie: The camera model is a Canon S2IS (we think). Does that help? We'll email when we have more time.
